The Colorado Democratic Party is seeking candidates to work as part-time paid fellows during the 2022 campaign cycle. 2022 features competitive races in Colorado that include the re-election of Sen. Michael Bennet, Gov. Jared Polis, several US House seats, statewide constitutional office holders, and more down the ballot. The Coordinated Campaign will persuade and mobilize voters to elect Colorado’s Democrats in 2022.

About the Position: Paid Fellows will conduct door-to-door outreach in targeted communities across Colorado in support of the November elections. Paid Fellows will establish meaningful connections with community members, recruit volunteers to help get out the vote, and help voters make plans to vote. Candidates with a passion for politics, policy, organizing or issue advocacy are preferred, but no prior experience is required.

Fellows will report to their assigned Field/Campus/Distributed Organizers.

Primary Responsibilities:
● Engage in direct voter contact such as canvassing and/or phone banking
● Plan, recruit for, and train volunteers for direct voter contact efforts to door-to-door canvassing, phone banks, and text banks
● Additional organizing tasks as assigned by managers

Ideal candidates will have:
● Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with others
● Flexibility, adaptability, and the capability to work as part of a team
● Access to a smartphone, laptop and vehicle, and be comfortable learning and adapting to new technology
● Access to a vehicle

This is a temporary, part-time position based in an assigned community in Colorado, and the ability to work remotely will not be available. Fellows will be asked to work a minimum of 10 hours per week or up to a maximum of 40 hours per week. Fellows can work with their managers to set their schedules.
