Interested in Running for Office? We can help! Let us know below.

If you are interested in running for office as a Democrat in 2022, complete the Weld Democratic Candidate Interest Form as soon as possible. Some State Representative and State Senate District assemblies will meet the first week in April to nominate candidates.

The Weld County Assembly referred the following offices to the County Vacancy Committee:  County Commissioner at-large, County Clerk, Assessor, Sheriff and County Commissioner District 2. The deadline for Party vacancy committees to designate candidates for the June Primary ballot is April 28, 2022.

Once you submit your interest form, County Chair Bev Wallace and/or Candidate Development Committee Chair Jerad  Sutton will get back with you quickly to talk about what’s involved in running for office and help you assess whether that’s a commitment you want to make.

There are specific requirements for some offices, Sheriff, for example, but those can be discussed in detail during follow-up to your form submittal.
