August’s Roosevelt Dinner and Silent Auction was a big success! Thank you to everyone who made it possible.
A special thanks to Congressman Brendan Boyle, who came from Philadelphia in solidarity and hope. Congressman Joe Neguse always gets us fired up and on our feet. Colorado Democratic Party Chair Shad Murib visited our beautiful University. We had wonderful speeches from Amanda Gonzalez, Jeff Bridges, Dez Packard, Mo Dower, Jillaire McMillan, Tommy Butler, and Colorado Treasurer Dave Young. Weld County Chair Jeri Shepherd kept the festivities on time and there was wonderful music to start us off. All our wonderful volunteers made this possible, this evening and every day of the year.Â
Dr. Jax Gonzalez came from Denver from Families Not Politics to encourage a “no” vote on two ballot initiatives (currently numbered 109 and 110) that will be on the ballot in November. The measures interfere with decisions about kids playing school sports and medical care, giving these decisions to the government instead of schools and families.
Silent auction items were sold with proceeds going to fund our work and candidate campaigns to usher in a blue wave in November!
