DESCRIPTION:Families Not Politics is the statewide campaign opposing two 2026 ballot measures targeting transgender Coloradans and their families. During this presentation\, participants will hear an overview of the ballot initiatives\, the political landscape heading into 2026\, the campaign’s strategy for defeating the measures\, and the ways individuals and organizations can get involved through volunteer organizing\, community outreach\, storytelling\, and voter engagement across Colorado. \nDr. Jax Gonzalez is the Political Director at One Colorado and serves as Political Director for the Families Not Politics campaign\, the statewide effort opposing Colorado’s 2026 anti-trans ballot initiatives. Jax has spent years organizing across Colorado on LGBTQ+ equality\, civic engagement\, and coalition-building\, with a focus on building volunteer-driven infrastructure and statewide advocacy campaigns. \nRegister here
