Part 1 Presenters: Amy Weinstein and Deb Bailey
Topic: The very basics regarding caucus & assembly for people who have never attended & voted at caucus before.
Will include general topics like:
- Do I have to be a Dem to attend?
- What are caucus & assembly exactly? What is the purpose?
- Why does my attendance matter?
- Why are people voting and who are they voting for when there isn’t even an election yet?
- Why are candidates always talking about caucus?
- All this political lingo is confusing. Can you help me with that?
Part 2 Presenter: Jeri Shepherd, president, Weld County Democrat Party
Topic: How our local caucus & assembly will work and how to participate
Will include focused topics like:
- Since my caucus is virtual, how do I attend from home?
- Are both caucus AND assembly virtual?
- Can I throw a caucus party with family and friends at my home & we attend virtually together?
- Where is our Assembly & can I go with friends and neighbors as a group?
- Do I have to pre-register? Is it free?
- What paperwork do I need to submit and by when?
- If I attend, how will I know when to vote? How do I virtually cast my vote?
- How long will it take to attend so I can plan ahead?
- I don’t have childcare. Can I bring my children to Assembly with me?
