Congratulations to our winners of the WCDP Annual Volunteer Awards!
This year’s honors went to Julie Elmquist, Paulette Dolan. and Carol Burkhart.
Recipients of the Annual Volunteer Awards are recognized for their outstanding dedication and selfless service to the party. This award highlights three volunteers who have consistently gone above and beyond, making a significant positive impact through their volunteer efforts.
- Honorees have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to furthering the interests of the party, often dedicating countless hours.
- Their volunteer work has led to tangible improvements, supporting events like this one, organizing volunteers, or lending long-term institutional knowledge. These recipients have shown long-term commitment, making the party run smoother and making sure things get done.
The Annual Volunteer Award not only celebrates these meaningful contributions but also encourages others to engage in the party and make a difference.
Our first honoree was Julie Elmquist. We are so grateful for her dedication and leadership in putting on The Roosevelt Dinner Fundraiser. It simply would not have been a success without all the hours she put in to organize it, not to mention her organizing the office, the storage unit and making deposits. She also has been indispensable in helping with caucus, assembly and elections. Julie was an easy choice for the award.
Paulette Dolan has been working as our volunteer coordinator and has been instrumental in acquiring a grant for the party. She has worked to help organize volunteer appreciation events and has helped with all our events. We thank Paulette for all her hard work.
Carol Burkhart has been a fixture of the party for, well, nearly forever. We depend on her vast institutional knowledge to help us organize caucus and assembly, she is a walking rules and statues resource that is indispensable and in addition she has long served on the Permanent Organization Committee and has worked to rewrite our bylaws. She is the consummate volunteer and very deserving of our thanks.
For all these reasons, our honorees deserve our thanks and admiration.
Ladies….Congratulations.
