What is a Caucus?

Precinct caucuses are meetings of local members of the Democratic Party. They are also the first step in the grassroots nominating process for the Democratic candidates on the November 2022 election ballot. These candidates will run in the new congressional and legislative districts, finalized in 2021. In addition, caucus provides many ways YOU can participate and be of service to the Weld County Democratic Party in the election process and beyond!

Who can participate?

  • Any registered voter who has affiliated with the Democratic Party by February 11, 2022. Make sure your voter registration  is updated to your current residence.
  • Residents who are 16 or 17 years old who preregister as a Democrat may participate and vote in caucuses and assemblies.
