I am asking for your vote for Colorado House. I understand that many people are nervous about voting for a Democrat here, and I do not blame you. This is Weld County, not Denver or Boulder. I am here to tell you that I am on your side. Our ideologies do not transcend our Humanity. I am a Democrat because I believe that the people of House District 48 know our community best, and not some politician making decisions for us. We all care about our neighbors, we all want what’s best for our children, we all want our parents to age at home with dignity, and we all want good jobs that put food on the table. We also want jobs that pay well enough to afford vacations, to own our homes, to pay off our own student debt, and to build a better life for our families. We cannot reach these goals in our communities with more of the status quo. House district 48 has been neglected for at least the past 8 years. As your representative I will show up, I will work hard, and I will represent the people of house district 48 down in Denver. I am a mother, a healthcare worker, a Weld County native, a pragmatist, a realist, and someone who will always take the voices of her constituents to the capitol. I will place your concerns above party and ideology because I believe in representative government. There is too much at stake just simply vote for the person with the comfortable letter behind their name. The status quo is not working for our district… vote for me and let me show you what we can do together. If you do not like me, vote me out in two years. Together we can make a difference.
