We need 202 more Precinct Committee volunteers in Weld County (two for each of the 156 precincts). The role of Precinct Committee Person (PCP) is at the core of political party activity; it’s our ground game.

Who is a Precinct Committee Person?
As a PCP, you are a representative of the Weld County Democratic Party in your precinct, or neighborhood. Elections are truly won or lost in precincts, especially in Weld County, and PCPs are vital to ensuring strong Democratic support for Democratic candidates and issues.

What does a PCP do?
The primary role of the PCP for each precinct is to work together; to serve as the connectionbetween the Democratic Party, the voters, and our Democratic elected officials; and to represent your entire precinct (usually your immediate neighborhood) within the Party. You will be called on to:

  • Attend meetings twice a year
  • Get trained on the Voter Activation Network (VAN)
  • Support candidates
  • Canvass
  • Recruit others
  • Promote the 2020 Precinct Caucus
