Democrats Caucus on March 6th

 

MARCH 6 Caucus

The Democratic Party will hold precinct caucuses on Tuesday, March 6 at 7  PM.  Under a new Colorado law, political parties may hold  precinct caucuses the first Tuesday in either February or  March.   Republicans will caucus February 6 and the  Democrats on March 6.   Democratic caucus sites  around the county will be announced in mid-February.

Voters  eligible to participate in Democratic caucuses must have been affiliated with the party by January 6, 2012 and must register in their  Weld County precincts by February 6.
 Any person who attains the age of 18 or  becomes a naturalized citizen within a two month period immediately  preceding the caucuses will be eligible to vote at precinct caucuses  even though he or she has been a registered Democrat for less than two  months.

Delegates  elected at caucuses will represent their precincts at the Weld  Democratic county and district nominating assemblies  on March  31.  For further information about Democratic caucuses and  assemblies, contact Weld Democratic Headquarters at 970-351-7047,  or email office@weldcountydems.org.
